Cola BBQ Spare Ribs

Directions

  1. Set smoker to 250 degrees F (or between 225 and 250 if not using an electric smoker) with humidity.
  2. Generously season the ribs with 2 tbsp of the rub and place the ribs directly on the grill. Cook for 3 hours.
  3. Remove the meat from the grill and wrap tightly in butcher paper. Place back on the grill and cook for another 2 hours.
  4. Carefully unwrap the meat and place back on the grill grate.
  5. Spray the ribs with the soda and smoke for 15 minutes.
  6. Glaze the ribs with the HEINZ BBQ Sauce and smoke for another 15 minutes.
  7. Repeat steps 4 & 5 once more.
  8. Carefully transfer the ribs to fresh butcher paper, wrapping it tightly. Allow it to rest until cool enough to serve.

  • 1 can Cherry cola
  • HEINZ® BBQ Sauce, to taste

Rub Spice Mix

Directions

  1. Mix all dry rub ingredients together and set aside

  • 1/4 c. Kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 c. chili powder
  • 1/4 c. cumin
  • 1 Tbsp. Black Pepper
  • 1/4 c. garlic, granulated
  • 1 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
