Southern Sloppy Joe Dip
Directions
- Prepare the cheese spread: In a large bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded cheese, pimento, cayenne and garlic salt and hold for service.
- Prepare the Sloppy Joe mixture: In a large skillet cook the ground beef, onions and peppers until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain off the excess grease.
- Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and bring to a simmer.
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- To order, place ¾ cup of the pimento cheese spread into the bottom of a prepared 2 cup oven proof dish. Top with ¾ cup of the Sloppy Joe mixture and then ¼ cup of shredded cheese.
- Bake the dip for 20 minutes or until heated through and the cheese is melted.
- Serve with chips for dipping.

- 7 1/2 cups Kraft® Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded

- 1 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

- 3 1/4 lbs beef, ground
- 1 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1 1/4 cup pepper(s), green, diced
- 2 1/2 cups Simply Heinz™ Ketchup
- 2 1/2 tbsp sugar, brown
- 1 1/4 tbsp Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp pepper
- 2 1/2 cups Kraft® Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
